At Colorado Springs Utilities, we put the right people in the right positions at the right time. We do this through a selection process using a variety of tools and materials. This process may include pre-screening questions you receive by e-mail, phone interviews, face-to-face interviews, in-basket activities, pre-employment testing, job shadowing, reference and background checks, written assessments, and hands-on assessments. Some positions require more time to accomplish all of this. Here are a few facts explaining what to expect.

Where to Start

To be considered for a position, you must submit your resume/application electronically using Colorado Springs Utilities’ Web-based tools to a specific job posting.  If there is not a position posted that you are interested in, you can complete a general application.  Completing a general application provides us with your information. In doing so, as new positions are posted, we search the database for key words matching the job posting. If your name comes up in that search, we will send an email asking you to apply if interested.
